Six serious songs for soprano and piano

Song no.5, entitled Stanzas from "Wonder" sets verses 1,2,4 and 5 of Traherne’s poem Wonder.

Song no.6, The Rapture, sets verses 1,2,3 and 5 from Traherne’s poem with the same title.

Solemn Canticles

The work is a cantata for chorus, SATB soloists and piano. It consists of seventeen vocal/choral pieces, setting words from a variety of sources, of which numbers 6, 7 and 15 are by Thomas Traherne.
